Building a New HomeColumbus is fortunate to have a solid and competitive builder community. But how do you know if "the best of everything" is the best choice, or whether "home is truly a two letter word"? Are homes "built one wish at a time" or "above and beyond"? Are you better off with "classical elegance", or does "someday start today"? Is a home built by a particular builder really "a better way to live"? Or is it truly "the art of building" that makes a difference? (all words in quotations are slogans of various builders in this market) The marketing, hype and slogans are just that... hype, marketing and slogans. It takes experience and knowledge to determine which builder is truly best for you. My former experience as a builder and carpenter provide unique qualification to assist you in this all important decision. Further, locations vary widely, and promotional deals abound... and it is practically a full time job just to keep up with who is where, and what the better deals are! I am constantly in touch with the builders to know what the latest news is. And believe me when I say that it changes daily! How do you know if a promotion is truly a "deal"... or just a shuffling of money from one side of the equation to the other? What features and upgrades have traditionally increased resale value? Is that low interest rate really a good deal? It is all too easy to get so involved in the emotions of a brand new home. Part of my job is to take every step to insure that not only emotions are fulfilled... but also the realities that go beyond the emotion are addressed. Another part of my job is to connect you with builders that meet with your needs and desires. With so much hype in the market, it is becoming more and more difficult to make that distinction. Building a home SHOULD be an enjoyable and magical time. It is also my job to see that it is. Not a time fraught with headaches and miscommunications. I know the building process and impart that knowledge to you, my client. Knowledge is definitely powerful when negotiating a new home deal... and even more important in the building process. And most important of all, each individual situation and each individual person are unique. A "cookie cutter" approach is just not the right answer for building a new home. Contact me at 614-554-7705 today, and let's get started on customizing a plan that will make that dream of building a new home a reality! |
